Although these two lovers live in a colony, they mate for life (their life span is about 40 years). At Mount Diablo's Mitchell Canyon, we watched them play tag or follow the leader, soar straight up or in spirals into the sky beyond our view, then dive back down. On the day that this picture was created, they appeared to be flying for fun, versus in search of food.

The Flow of a River
This art was created along the Merced River in Yosemite Vallet, during the spring melt. Following bliss can be as natural as the flow of a river.

Dogwood Over Half Dome
This art was created in Yosemite Valley after the snow melt and while the valley was still reinventing itself with the burst of dogwood flowers. I love the freshness of new beginnings.
